Favorite Memory From 8th Grade
My favorite memory from all twelve years of school comes from eighth grade. Around basketball season I started to hang out with Ashlee Jones, Courtney Spencer, and Emilee Roy. We would always stay the night at Ashlee’s house. One night we decided to get revenge on the boys that were in our grade. For some reason the “Man Cave” at Seth Whitlock’s house was the place to be for a guy in aurora junior high on a Friday night. The guys at the “Man Cave” decided to T Pee Ashlee’s house. Because of this, we decided we had to get back at them. Luckily the mother of the man cave, Pamela, understood our desire to scare the boys and was happy to help us out. One Friday night we went over to the Man Cave and had Pamela take the remote to the TV that the boys were watching. We snuck around the house at around 11 at night and peeked through the window. As soon as the channel changed on the TV the boys started to blame Aaron Blades for stealing the remote. Once Aaron denied it they moved on to the next victim. After they had made it around the room yelling at each other they started to get scared. Jesse Galloway, the biggest of the boys, grabbed his pillow and said “that’s it I’m sleeping upstairs!” Unfortunately our fun came to an end when Cody Thornton spotted me and Emilee in the window. We all took off running in different directions and the boys came after us. We ran to the front of the house and down stairs while the boys ran out into the woods looking for us. Eventually they gave up and were very disappointed to see we were waiting inside all along while they had been searching. The night ended by watching a movie and drinking juice boxes then we went back to Ashlee’s house and talked and laughed until we fell asleep.
